Drug Testing's Smoking Gun(s)
ROBERT
L. DUPONT (former drug czar & former head of NIDA)
was and maybe still is a partner in one of the largest urine testing companies.
After promoting urine testing for years in government and making mandatory
drug tests part of many Federal contracts, DuPont joined Carlton
Turner (former drug czar) and Peter
Bensinger (another former head of NIDA) in contracting as advisors
to 250 of the largest corporations to corner the drug testing market. In
a similar situation, former NYC DEA Bureau Chief Robert
Stutman having lobbied for stiffer laws for years, and having left
the agency now makes his living by owning Complete
Compliance, a drug testing and consulting firm which assists small
business in complying with new Department of Transportation and Federal
Highway Administration drug and alcohol testing regulations.

What you need to know about drug testing in the workplace

Windy
Hill Professional Lab - A Company who offers drug tests where you send
in your urine sample via overnight delivery and who will send your results
via US Mail, overnight mail, or email.
Accu-Screen
- This one should scare you minors reading this page.. "PARENTS HOME DRUG
TEST KIT - The fastest, surest way to identify drug use by your children:
NOW AVAILABLE ON-LINE!"
Analytical
Services Inc - Claims to protect your privacy.. hm..."Others report
'positive' or 'negative' to the SAMHSA thresholds. See http://www.drugtest.com/drugtest
to link to 'Federal' for those numbers. We report the actual reactivity
in Nanograms down to our threshold of detection. Analytical Services is
NOT a Federally regulated laboratory. Federally regulated labs MUST operate
under Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) directives.
Several of those rules are the very reason for our existance. We do NOT
operate under SAMHSA rules as a choice. SAMHSA requires a medical director
to 'sign' all the repports. This creates a MEDICAL record, which can theoretically
be accessed by insurance companies or anyone else using medical 'referral'
rules. No Doc - No referral.
Assurance
Medical Incorporated - Rent-A-Cop service who will watch your employees
pee very closely to make sure they don't 'contaminate' their urine samples.
However they have a list of some of their clients so we can BOYCOTT THEM!!
From their own propaganda: "Assurance Medical, Inc. (AMI) is the leading
Comprehensive Program Administrator (CPA) in the Southwest for corporate
drug and alcohol testing programs. AMI's corporate mission and sole objective
is to make life simpler, easier and safer for our clients while helping
them develop and maintain a drug-free workplace. Our product is solutions
- solutions to make your workplace drug and alcohol free."
Preferred
Alliance - "The Road to D.O.T. Compliance"
Clinical
Education Research Associates - These strange people claim to have
what they call "a sophisticated method of alcohol and substance abuse screening
utilizing the most accurate psychological based questionnaire available,
the Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory (SASSI). The latest in computer
interpretation coupled with fax-to-fax transmission provides a rapid, accurate,
cost-effective, and medically accepted form of substance abuse screening.
Confidential results are returned to you within minutes. CompScreen is
highly accurate with both adult and adolescent versions being available."
Not only that but they are trying to get into the web design business also.
One problem - they have no skills!
Complete
Compliance "Are you in Compliance?" they ask on their main home page..
How 1984 of them. But that's no coincidence as the company is owned by
former DEA NYC Bureau Cheif Robert
Stutman whose face you might remember from TV News
Drug
Intervention Services of America, Inc - Home of BTARS Breath Test Automated
Reporting System, The Premier Breath Alcohol Testing and Administation
System. They have a list of clients
you can boycott.
EmployASSIST
- "DO YOU WANT TO...CONTROL YOUR WORKERS...?"
ACS
"Herbal Tea" Company - has "cleansing solutions" which they claim will
flush THC and prescription drugs out of your system in 3 hours. I am very
wary of their claims.(c)
Student
Drug Test Management Software - They say: "SAI has developed a PC-based
system that will help school administrators streamline and control their
district's drug testing policy. Each district can customize the system
according to the attributes of your existing drug testing policy. Whether
you have a few students or a few thousand, TestSelect will function smoothly
and efficiently."
Clean
'n Clear's Drug Testing Page
A-Z
Enterprises Inc has some product which they claim (and I quote) "TEST'in
actually changes the DNA structure of the blood cells" They also have some
shampoo which will somehow (I guess) wash 'toxins' out of your hair but
probably does nothing since supposedly the metabolites are in the structure
of the hair itself, not stuck to the outside of it.(c)
PartyHut
Enterprises - I dunno. call me a skeptic.(c)
"Testpure"
products - this might be the shadiest of this type of company I have
listed here. They give no clue as to what their product is, how it works,
or much more about their product than "Currently 99.8% of our customers
are satisfied with our product".(c)
The
Stuff - Sounds to me like it might kill you. -[ed] "This pleasant-tasting
powdered drink mix works by forming a barrier in the bladder, temporarily
retaining all solids while clean water colored by B vitamins to look like
normal urine passes. The product blocks detection not only of actual toxins,
but of environmental factors known to cause false positives."(c)
